Job summary

Atlanta Housing, the Housing Authority of the City of Atlanta, Georgia, seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead AH’s executive leadership team and translate the agency’s strategic vision into timely, efficient operations, ensuring mission delivery for nearly 27,000 resident families.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the COO oversees core functions, drives policy compliance with HUD and local laws, guides strategic planning, service delivery improvements, and enterprise-wide performance, and

Qualifications

• At least fifteen (15) years of related managerial/leadership experience in housing, property management, or related field.
• Ten (10) or more years in an executive or senior management level role.
• Experience with HUD regulations and public housing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize core business functions, monitor daily operations, and drive efficiency.
• Lead strategic planning and collaborate with the Board and CEO on goals and initiatives.
• Identify service delivery improvements and implement processes to reduce costs and boost scalability.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, state laws, and internal policies.
