Illinois Education Job Bank seeks an Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to lead curriculum review, assessment, and revision district-wide, and supervise learning programs. The role partners with principals to develop innovative programs and supports district testing coordination.

The position requires a valid Illinois professional license with administrative endorsement, extensive district leadership experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with administrative endorsement.
• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in teaching and educational administration.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of curriculum development and alignment.
• Ability to travel between district schools several times per week.

Responsabilités

• Leads curriculum review, assessment, and revision district-wide.
• Supervises evaluation of existing learning programs.
• Develops and implements Key Success Factors #1 and #2 in District 27 plan.
• Supervises curriculum and instructional technology coordinators.
• Develops innovative district programs with principals.
• Coordinates state/district testing and reports for Board/community.
• Manages state testing program logistics and materials.
• Maintains professional ties with curriculum admins in other districts.
• Represents curriculum in school board meetings; coordinates with principals.
• Leads district Professional Development Committee (PDC).
• Plans long-term and implements short-term professional development.
• Completes grant applications and budgets with finance ops.
• Ensures compliance with state-mandated studies.
• Stays informed on laws/policy affecting NB27.
• Executes duties assigned by Superintendent of Schools.
