Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks a Superintendent to serve as the district’s chief executive officer, providing educational leadership for a two-location K-4 and 5-8 district with about 215 students.

The successful candidate will establish a clear district vision, lead goals and initiatives, and ensure instructional excellence through collaboration with teachers, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead district-wide instructional initiatives.
• Strong communicator with diverse stakeholders (Board, staff, families, community).
• Ability to translate curriculum, assessment, and regulatory information into actionable plans.
• Experience guiding organizational change while maintaining trust and collaboration.
• Knowledge of safe, efficient district management and financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief executive officer of the district.
• Lead development and implementation of district goals and strategic initiatives.
