Qualifications

• A background of successful administrative and supervisory experience totaling at least ten years.
• A Masters Degree from an NCATE accredited college or university; Doctorate preferred.
• Hold a valid Administrative Certificate with a Superintendent’s endorsement that fulfills Illinois certification requirements.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements district policies and administrative rules to support Board policies.
• Directs preparation and presentation of the annual operating budget and reports.
• Advises the Board about programs, practices, and district needs and informs stakeholders.
• Recommends employment decisions and supervises district personnel as needed.
• Maintains records, calendars, and district communications to inform the public and Board.
