Job summary

raydar seeks a founding member of an internal operations function in San Francisco to partner with executive leadership on strategic priorities. You will own recruiting, financial oversight, new business initiatives and build operating processes from the ground up.

You will design systems, drive cross-functional projects across engineering, research and customer-facing teams, and help scale during rapid growth. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring autonomy.

Qualifications

2–4 years operating experience across multiple functions.
Proven track record leading multi-department projects.
Experience at startups during headcount growth.
Hands-on financial models, Budgets and P&L management.
Willingness to write scripts / use AI tools for problems.
Degree from a top-tier university.
High autonomy; can set priorities and deliver without oversight.
Stable work history with commitment to long tenure.
Clear career aims and motivation for this role.
Ability to work full-time in person in San Francisco.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as the founding member of an internal operations function, working closely with executive leadership on the company’s most important strategic priorities. The role covers talent acquisition, financial oversight, new business initiatives and the creation of operating processes from the ground up.

What you’ll do

Lead the recruiting process as the team expands substantially over the coming months.
Oversee company finances, including budgets, costs and margins, and run regular business performance reviews.
Drive high-impact strategic projects as they arise, such as customer growth, new market launches and research efforts.
Design and set up internal operating systems and processes from scratch.
Partner with engineering, research and customer-facing groups to remove blockers and keep priorities moving.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

2 to 4 years of operating experience, ideally combining management consulting with time at an early-stage startup.
A record of leading projects that span several departments from start to finish, touching areas such as recruiting, finance and operations.
Exposure to a startup during a period of rapid headcount growth.
Hands-on skill building financial models and managing budgets and profit and loss.
Willingness to use AI coding tools or write scripts to solve everyday problems.
A degree from a top-tier university.
High autonomy: you set your own priorities, challenge assumptions and deliver results without close supervision.
A stable work history without short stints, showing commitment and staying power.
Clear career ambitions and the ability to explain why you want this role.
Ability to work full-time in person in San Francisco.
