Job summary

Lawson State Community College seeks an Executive Director of Information Technology to provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of IT Services. This role aligns technology strategy, budget, and governance with the college mission and ensures security, integrity, and availability of systems and infrastructure.

The position oversees staff, coordinates with the President and Cabinet, and ensures compliance with FERPA and state laws while guiding system-wide IT

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience including planning technology needs.
• 5+ years of related experience in education.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for IT Services and strategic direction.
• Lead IT planning to align with the College's mission and goals.
• Advise President and Cabinet on IT matters and governance.
• Oversee enterprise platforms and system-wide architecture.
• Manage IT department budget, requirements, and schedules.
