Job summary

NMC is seeking an Executive Director for Information Technologies to serve as chief information officer, overseeing IT strategy, operations, and services for the College. This leadership role coordinates AI initiatives, cybersecurity, budgeting, ERP, cloud migration, and learning technologies to support student success and institutional operations.

The position reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and participates in the President’s Council, guiding technology investments

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT-related field or equivalent.
• 10+ years of related IT experience.
• 7–10 years in higher education administration and supervision.
• Working knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, and GDPR.
• 5+ years of experience managing budgets and business planning.
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in strategic and operational planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative efforts to provide educational technologies and data reporting across the college.
• Advance AI, systems, automation, and data alignment priorities.
• Serve on President’s Council and governance bodies as needed.
• Manage HR, budgets, vendors, contracts, and IT-related processes.
• Act as CIO and liaison for state, national, and international groups.
• Lead IT risk management including third-party risk management.
• Oversee training and support for students and employees.
• Ensure data integrity and transparency to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Plan and implement IT projects per College mission and policies.
