Job summary

Mt. San Antonio College invites applications for a Chief Technology Officer to lead the Information Technology Department, directing enterprise information systems, network operations, academic technology support, and telecommunications.

The CTO will provide strategic leadership on cybersecurity, data governance, emerging technologies including AI and advanced analytics, and align IT strategy with enrollment goals, institutional planning, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/IT management (or equivalent)
• Five (5)+ years of management experience overseeing all aspects of an information systems program in a large, complex environment.
• Desirable: Master’s degree in related field; experience with enterprise information systems, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT department's programs, services, and activities including information systems infrastructure, networks, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity architecture.
• Develop and administer department goals, policies, and budgets; ensure staffing levels and performance.
• Oversee IT master planning, strategic initiatives, vendor contracts, and capital projects to align with institutional goals.
• Provide leadership in cybersecurity, data governance, and emerging technologies to support student success and enrollment management.
• Coordinate with Facilities, academic departments, and administrative units on IT infrastructure and classroom technology.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information systems / information technology management
