Job summary

TAR is building the energy infrastructure for data centers in Texas. The Head of Interconnection & Transmission will own turning interconnection, transmission, and market participation into revenue for our West Texas campus and future sites.

This senior, hands-on leader reports to the co-founders and travels to field sites as needed. You will manage ERCOT workflows end-to-end, drive POI and transmission projects, and shape export architecture to ensure islanded operation and scalable growth in a

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in ERCOT interconnection, transmission development, or wholesale market operations.
Deep ERCOT fluency: nodal market design, Planning Guide and Protocols, Private Use Networks, resource registration, and TSP processes.
Strong commercial sense to build revenue models, not just studies.

Responsibilities

Run ERCOT generation interconnection end to end from queue entry to commercial operations.
Lead POI selection and gen-tie development, including routing, easements, land, and permitting.
Define export architecture with PUN topology, metering and settlement design, and protection at the POI to ensure islanded operation.
Drive ERCOT market entry, including Resource Entity registration, QSE management, ESR registration, settlement, and credit.
Build monetization strategies across export scheduling, BESS arbitrage, ancillary services, REC sales, and congestion risk.
