Job summary

Intersect is seeking an Interconnection Strategy and Execution lead within the Engineering team. You will own the interconnection strategy for generation and large load projects, focusing primarily on ERCOT, and provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle.

You will engage utilities, ISO/RTOs, and stakeholders, review studies, and mentor internal teams while enabling cost certainty, schedule confidence, and risk management for projects from development through commercial

Qualifications

7+ years of experience with IPP, project developer, ISO/RTO, utility, or power systems consulting firm
Experience with interconnection studies, transmission planning, and IBR modeling, particularly in ERCOT
Strong working knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO interconnection requirements, standards, and processes

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end generator and large load interconnection processes from early development through COD, with accountability for schedule, risk, and outcomes
Serve as the primary point of contact with utilities, ERCOT, and relevant stakeholders on interconnection matters
Review and interpret interconnection study results, including feasibility and facilities studies; develop mitigation solutions
Collaborate with internal and external teams on transmission planning and study execution
Develop internal tools and processes to track interconnection status and risk across portfolios
