Job summary

CIG Energy is seeking a Director, Interconnection Services to lead transmission and interconnection efforts for large-scale projects across ERCOT. You will guide all phases from initial assessments to commercial operation and work with development, engineering, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ERCOT interconnection experience and a strong background in transmission planning, NERC standards, and due diligence for acquisitions. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of ERCOT interconnection experience.
• Experience managing ERCOT interconnection applications and study processes.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy interconnections.

Responsibilities

• Lead generator and large-load interconnection activities within ERCOT.
• Manage interconnection lifecycle from screening to grid synchronization.
• Coordinate with ERCOT, TSPs, utilities, and consultants.
• Review study assumptions and upgrade requirements for accuracy.
• Provide technical leadership during site selection and early development.
• Monitor ERCOT planning activities and regulatory developments.
• Present analyses to leadership and stakeholders.
