Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a VP of Insurance and Claims to lead enterprise-wide risk management, insurance programs, and claims across the organization. The role partners with Safety, Legal, HR, and Operations to protect people, property, and brand reputation while driving compliance and financial performance.

The executive will design and manage auto/general liability, workers’ comp, and specialty coverages, oversee TCOR, and lead a team of professionals and external partners to optimize risk outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive risk management experience, including insurance program management and claims oversight, with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s insurance program design, negotiation, and management across auto liability, general liability, workers’ compensation, and other coverages.
• Oversee full claims lifecycle for multiple lines with TPAs, adjusters, and defense counsel; coordinate strategy with GC and outside counsel.
• Perform enterprise-wide risk assessments and inform loss prevention strategies; monitor regulatory developments affecting risk and insurability.
• Build and lead the risk management and claims team; report to executive leadership and Board; partner with Finance on budgeting and actuarial analytics.
