Job summary

Chabot College, part of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, invites applications for the Vice President of Academic Services. The role leads the instructional program design, delivery, and fiscal management of comprehensive academic offerings, including general education, transfer, technical programs, and distance education.

The position reports to the College President and collaborates with other senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; earned doctorate preferred.
• Significant full-time teaching and administrative experience in post-secondary education; or an equivalent combination.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate programs, personnel, operations, and practices to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Directly supervise academic services administrators.
• Coordinate recruitment and orientation of faculty and staff to ensure equal opportunity in employment.
• Conduct performance evaluations of faculty, staff and administrators; coordinate tenure processes.
• Provide leadership for faculty development and instructional technology integration.
• Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and program reviews; ensure strong academic standards.
