Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking a Chief Information Officer to provide strategic leadership across IT services, systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. The CIO will establish a long‑term technology vision and oversee governance to support student success and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, business administration, public administration, educational leadership, or a related field.
• Progressively responsible leadership experience in information technology, including staff, budgets, projects, vendors, and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity, networks, cloud technologies, data governance, and AI in organizational settings.
• Experience developing technology strategies, governance models, policies, and procedures aligned with goals.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior administrators, board, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive IT strategy and roadmap.
• Lead technology governance, policy development, and risk management.
• Oversee IT budgets, expenditures, and resource allocations.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and performance.
• Foster a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead cyber security disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response.
