Job summary

Lake Region State College is seeking a strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and long‑term technology strategy in a rural college setting. The CIO reports to the Vice President of Administrative Affairs and guides technology investments across campus.

The role requires a track record in strategic planning, information security, risk management, and an ability to communicate complex IT concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years IT leadership experience.
• Experience in IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and information systems management.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and long‑term technology strategy.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology vision aligned with LRSC's mission.
• Collaborate with college leadership to identify technology needs and ensure reliable services.
• Manage budgets, personnel, projects, and vendor relationships.
• Represent LRSC in technology initiatives and NDUS collaborations.
