Job summary

Bucknell University seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the Office of Human Resources through a period of renewal. This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder and operator who can stabilize the team, sharpen service delivery, and implement a redesigned operating model.

The CHRO will inherit a clear roadmap and a mandate to execute it, working in close partnership with the President and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Ten years of HR leadership experience with strong operational and service delivery record.
• Experience leading HR operations, HRIS/data and process design.
• Familiarity with Title IX, EEO compliance, compensation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations end to end and manage service delivery and data infrastructure.
• Manage compensation and benefits execution including budgets.
• Administer retirement/health plans and large self-insured programs.
• Run annual performance management and talent development.
• Manage employee relations, investigations and actions.
• Collaborate with Title IX and General Counsel on policies.
• Produce people analytics from HRIS data.
• Oversee personnel transactions and governance involvement.
• Serve on governance groups and board committees.
• Ability to adapt responsibilities as needed.
