Job summary

Alpena Community College seeks a Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator to lead the HR department and coordinate Title IX compliance. This role reports to the Vice President for Administration and Finance and oversees policies, benefits, compensation, and labor relations.

The position requires strategic HR leadership, experience with collective bargaining, and knowledge of Title IX regulations. The role participates in executive councils and college committees in a full-time capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business, public or human resources administration required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification in Human Resources preferred (HRCI/SHRM).
• Minimum of five years experience in Human Resources.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief Human Resources Officer on President’s Executive Council.
• Develop and implement HR policies; maintain employee handbook and policies.
• Plan, organize and control all HR activities and systems.
• Interview, screen and recruit for vacancies and serve on search committees.
• Administer and negotiate benefits plans; review annual salary surveys.
