Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College is seeking a senior Human Resources leader to oversee institutional personnel policies, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and employment. The role also serves as Title IX/Equity Coordinator, ensuring compliance and training for staff and students.

Reports to the VP of finance and administrative services. The position requires strong leadership, policy development, and experience directing HR operations within a college setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates the associate director of human resources.
• Ensures Title IX compliance and staff training.
• Oversees staff benefits ensuring cost-effective, compliant offerings.
• Coordinates staff orientation and recognition events.
• Develops and mentors subordinate staff.
• Establishes and controls an annual HR budget.
• Represents management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
• Advises on administration of labor agreements and handling of grievances.
• Consults legal counsel to ensure policy compliance with federal and state law.
• Investigates complaints of discrimination and misconduct and resolves charges.
• Maintains HRIS data, policies, procedures, and reporting for top management.
