Atlantic Group is hiring a Head of Human Resources in New York, NY to lead HR strategy, employee relations, talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, and compliance for our staffing and recruiting organization. Reporting to the Co-Founder & CFO, this senior role will oversee daily HR operations, support internal staff and temporary workers, and drive workforce development and organizational growth.

The position operates on a hybrid schedule with on-site presence in Midtown NYC and remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of HR experience, preferably in staffing/recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Experience supporting temporary or contract workforces.
• Hands-on payroll/benefits systems and HRIS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR initiatives, advise executive leadership, and oversee daily human resources operations.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes for internal staff and temporary or contract employees.
• Manage payroll operations, compensation programs, employee benefits, leave administration, and required benefits reporting.
• Address employee concerns, oversee performance management, support professional development, and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour requirements, leave regulations, workers' compensation, and workforce documentation.
• Maintain HR policies, employee records, reporting processes, and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
