Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Security to lead all security aspects across industrial, personnel, physical, and information security at AV. The role partners with the CISO to maintain a robust security posture and ensure compliance with U.S.

government directives and regulations. The VP will drive program management for classified programs, establish a strong security culture, and collaborate with government agencies and defense partners to enable business growth while

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (CI or Full Scope Polygraph preferred).
• 15+ years in industrial security, SAP/SCI programs, and managing classified security programs.
• Minimum 10 years of direct managerial experience.
• Deep understanding of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07 and related frameworks.
• Experience leading DCSA security reviews, audits, and government inspections.
• Ability to foster a high-performing security culture with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead security program, ensuring compliance with DoD, IC, and federal directives.
• Establish a robust security culture aligned with mission-critical needs and active employee engagement.
• Oversee security investigations, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
