Cabana in Midtown Manhattan seeks a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a five-person FDE team and AI Product Specialists, driving 30+ concurrent enterprise deployments and reporting to the COO.

The role demands deep deployment strategy, executive-level client engagement, and a track record of turning AI deployments into measurable revenue. Relocation is available and OPT/H-1B transfers are considered.

Qualifications

• 6-15 years in forward deployment, deployment strategy or technical product management.
• High-growth startup experience deploying complex software into enterprise customers.
• 2+ years managing a technical, customer-facing team.
• Strong executive presence to command a room of C-level customers without external credibility.
• Commercial instincts to identify new use cases, expand accounts and drive revenue.
• Technical fluency across AI agents, LLMs, APIs and data integrations.

What we need:

• 6-15 years in forward deployment, deployment strategy or technical product management
• High-growth startup experience deploying complex software into enterprise customers
• 2+ years managing a technical, customer-facing team
• Strong enough executive presence to command a room of C-level customers without bringing someone else for credibility
• Commercial instincts - you’ll be expected to identify new use cases, expand accounts and drive revenue
• Technical fluency across AI agents, LLMs, APIs and data integrations

Our partner has raised ~$80M and builds enterprise AI agents for customer support, sales and operations.

You’ll report directly to the COO, lead a team of five FDEs and AI Product Specialists, and own 30+ concurrent enterprise deployments.

• Compensation: $285K-$335K base + 10% bonus + equity

Location: Midtown, New York City

Relocation: Available
