Job summary

The township is seeking a highly motivated full-time Chief Financial Officer to oversee municipal financial operations, ensuring fiscal integrity, transparency, and sustainability. You will prepare the budget, monthly financial statements for the governing body, and manage accounts payable/receivable, grants, and escrow accounts.

Candidate should have at least five years in municipal finance, with supervisory experience, and familiarity with Edmunds, Microsoft Office, and Primepoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in municipal finance, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of municipal finance laws.
• Familiarity with Edmunds, Microsoft Office, and Primepoint.
• NJ CMFO certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Township's financial operations and integrity.
• Prepare the budget and monthly financial statements for the governing body, including AFS/ADS and finance-related ordinances and resolutions.

Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a strong knowledge of municipal finance laws. Minimum of five years in municipal finance required, at least one of which shall have been in a supervisory role. A familiarity with Edmunds, Microsoft Office, and Primepoint is required. NJ CMFO required. Salary ranges from $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 to commensurate with experience, along with a competitive benefits package.
