Job summary

Mendham Township is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead municipal budgeting, financial planning, and year‑round oversight of accounting activities. Qualifications

• Experience with municipal budgeting and debt management.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Ability to obtain CMFO certification within two years is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee municipal budget preparation and year-round oversight.
• Maintain general ledger, manage debt and grants, and oversee purchasing.
• Supervise payroll, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Engage in financial planning, cost savings strategies, and budget meetings.
