NU Advisory Partners has been retained to lead the search for a Chief Financial Officer for a multi-location organization entering an important stage of expansion. This executive will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership, overseeing all aspects of financial management while advancing the organization's operational and strategic priorities. The CFO will modernize the finance function, strengthen financial processes, and build the systems and capabilities required to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a consistent cadence for budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and operational metrics to improve accuracy, visibility, and decision-making.
• Ensure timely, transparent communication of financial performance to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Maintain disciplined accounting practices, internal controls, and compliance across the organization.

Systems, Processes & Analytics Modernization

• Upgrade financial tools, systems, and data infrastructure to support real-time reporting and better analysis.
• Standardize financial processes across locations to create consistency, reduce efficiencies, and support growth.
• Lead technology and workflow improvements that enhance the speed, reliability, and clarity of financial insights.

Operational Partnership & Organizational Alignment

• Partner with leaders across the organization to strengthen financial planning, operational effectiveness, and resource management.
• Build strong relationships with field and functional teams, providing clarity on budgets, performance expectations, and financial decision-making.
• Ensure multi-state compliance and oversee payroll operations across diverse regulatory environments.
• Build and develop a high-performing finance organization, adding FP&A capabilities and strengthening accountability across the team.
• Coach and mentor staff to elevate analytical rigor, communication, and business partnership.
• Create a culture grounded in transparency, precision, and continuous improvement.

Growth, Integration & Strategic Planning

• Support the evaluation and integration of new opportunities, helping assess strategic fit and operational alignment.
• Lead financial aspects of integration work, including systems, controls, processes, and reporting.
• Strengthen organizational readiness for future growth through improved scalability, discipline, and planning rigor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Seasoned financial executive with a track record supporting multi-location, growing organizations.
• Proven success improving forecasting accuracy, building KPI frameworks, and elevating financial performance management.
• Strong accounting foundation with the ability to maintain GAAP compliance and robust internal controls.
• Experience modernizing financial systems and building scalable processes in dynamic environments.
• Skilled collaborator with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, handle complexity, and influence at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
