Our client, a well-funded, product-led fintech headquartered in New York, is looking for a fully remote Chief Financial Officer to join them at a pivotal point in their growth. With Series B backing, active expansion into new markets, and a world-class executive team in place, they’re now searching for a commercially-minded CFO to take ownership of their financial strategy, build scalable finance infrastructure, and play a key role in steering the business through the next phase of growth.

About the role

This is a hands-on and strategic CFO role. You’ll take ownership of financial planning, budgeting, investor relations, risk management, and internal controls. You’ll also lead the development of scalable systems and reporting processes to support growth — ensuring the business is data-informed and audit-ready at all times.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Own all aspects of financial strategy, cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting
• Build and lead a lean finance team (internal + outsourced partners)
• Drive improvements in financial modelling, metrics, and performance reporting
• Oversee compliance, tax, and international structuring as the business expands
• Manage board reporting, investor relations, and support upcoming funding rounds
• Implement scalable finance systems, controls, and automation
• Collaborate with GTM, product, and ops teams to align commercial decisions with financial realities
• Identify and mitigate financial risks while supporting long-term business planning

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as CFO, VP Finance, or Finance Director in a scaling fintech or tech company

Experience managing finance in a venture-backed environment (Series A/B/C)

Strong understanding of SaaS/recurring revenue models, unit economics, and growth-stage metrics

Confident managing global entity structures, especially US + international tax and compliance

Skilled in modelling, forecasting, and presenting to investors and boards

Comfortable with hands-on operational finance as well as strategic planning

Highly proficient with modern finance tooling (e.g. NetSuite, Xero, Ramp, Carta)

CPA, CFA, or relevant finance qualification a plus — but mindset and experience matter more
