Job summary

JLL and its teams in Seal Beach, CA seek a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering group, ensuring machinery and systems operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively with 100% uptime through reliability-based maintenance.

You will supervise engineers and maintenance staff, manage contractors, ensure compliance, and maintain infrastructure documentation while expanding your expertise in complex facility systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of facilities-related work experience with 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and construction planning.
• Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, mechanical/electrical systems and welding.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation and maintain HVAC, boilers, pumps, piping, and other mechanical/electrical systems.
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring and training.
• Manage inventory and procurement for tools and supplies.
• Identify safety hazards and implement remediation with safety training.
• Oversee contractor activities and maintain drawings and regulatory records.
