Job summary

JLL is seeking a Reliability Engineer to transform how we maintain and optimize building systems and critical infrastructure. You will partner with the Engineering Services Reliability & Asset Management Center of Excellence to develop lifecycle analyses and guide repair-versus-replacement decisions.

You will implement RCM, analyze data from BAS and CMMS, perform root cause analyses, and deploy condition-based monitoring across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience implementing reliability-centered maintenance and condition-based monitoring methods.
• Experience with building automation systems and automated fault detection and diagnostics platforms.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems in commercial/critical facilities.
• Experience with CMMS and large datasets analysis.
• Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, infrared thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis).
• Experience with root cause failure analysis, asset criticality ranking, and PM/PdM optimization.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using RCM and condition-based monitoring.
• Analyze data from building automation, fault detection platforms, and CMMS to identify trends and predict failures.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis on critical equipment and develop corrective actions.
• Rank asset criticality and define proactive maintenance approaches per asset.
• Perform facility condition assessments to evaluate remaining useful life for capital planning.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to meet reliability targets.
• Deploy predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis.
• Maintain equipment records and maintenance plans in the CMMS and drive process improvements.
