Job summary

Tiello LLC is seeking a Chief Estimator / Lead Estimator for their South Florida operations to oversee estimating and preconstruction for commercial structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of structural steel or miscellaneous metals estimating experience, with strong knowledge of fabrication processes, pricing, and bid preparation, and will lead the estimating team in collaboration with leadership to pursue profitable opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience within structural steel fabrication, erection, and/or miscellaneous metals.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, shop operations, and field erection methods.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed and accurate structural steel estimates from drawings and specs.
• Experience estimating commercial structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimating process for structural steel fabrication, erection, and miscellaneous metals projects.
• Review bid invitations, drawings, specs, and contracts to determine scope.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs, labor estimates, equipment costs, and comprehensive budgets.
• Develop accurate and competitive estimates for fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate with fabrication and field operations to reflect production and installation requirements.
