Extraordinary Projects Need Exceptional Talent

Description:

As a Chief Estimator at Company, reporting to the CEO, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Lead, review, and approve all estimating activities for tunneling projects.
2. Review contract plans, specifications, and related documents thoroughly for bids.
3. Supervise estimating personnel assigned to tunneling bids.
4. Identify major and unusual items in RFQs & RFPs.
5. Solicit quotations from major subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Prepare HCSS comparison sheets.
7. Identify D/M/WBE requirements and develop plans to meet them.
8. Create clear write-ups and documentation for SOQ/RFP proposals.
9. Prepare documents for bid and proposal submissions.
10. Set up JV manual for joint venture bids.
11. Configure bids in HCSS.
12. Price bid items and review with the project team.
13. Manage equipment procurement timelines and logistics.
14. Assign and monitor take-off estimators.
15. Maintain communication with owner’s representatives, owners, and JV partners throughout the bid process.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field from an accredited institution, with 10+ years of relevant estimating, project management, or construction experience. Alternatively, 14+ years of relevant experience if the degree is not held.
2. At least 10 years of tunneling and/or heavy civil project experience.
3. At least 5 years of estimating experience on tunneling projects.
4. At least 5 years of experience leading/supervising estimating teams.
5. Proficiency with HCSS, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar software.
6. Willingness to travel up to 15-20%.
