Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced executive to provide strategic direction and leadership for the technology and innovation agenda globally. The VP will oversee engineering, product development, and technology integration across regions, reporting to the Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer.

The role emphasizes driving innovation, leadership excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve long‑term business growth.

Qualifications

• Senior Leadership experience from a company known for innovation and engineering excellence.
• 15+ years engineering leadership experience in global companies. Experience across advanced technology, engineering and product management functions desired.
• Experience leading large teams in emerging markets.
• Excellent personal leadership, change management and ability to collaborate and influence cross‑functionally.
• Developer of talent and capabilities; great people leader. Can select and lead both people with deep expertise and breadth.
• Excellent ability to represent the Company externally and build alliances.
• Ph.D. or master’s in engineering preferred from a leading academic institution. MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Work with CTO and leaders to create a global technology strategy and roadmap.
• Drive innovation and technology advancements to maintain competitive edge in HVAC.
• Identify and prioritize key technology investments and initiatives.
• Lead Engineering and Technology Leadership Team to align SBUs with corporate strategy.
• Oversee new product development initiatives and technology introduction.
• Protect IP and develop a robust patent portfolio.
• Develop and manage engineering budget and assess risks.
