Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer, Space Vehicle Autonomy, to lead the architecture, design, and maturation of autonomous decision-making systems for satellite platforms. The role bridges traditional autonomy with AI/ML and SDA, coordinating with GN&C, perception, and systems engineering teams to optimize the spacecraft as a unified system.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (required).
• 20+ years of advanced spacecraft design, development, or analysis experience.
• Experience as technical authority or chief engineer on complex spacecraft/autonomy programs.
• Deep understanding of traditional autonomy and AI/ML/CNN approaches.
• Active TS security clearance or eligibility (TS/SCI preferred).

Mansioni

• Serve as the technical authority for space vehicle autonomy and strategy.
• Define and evolve autonomy architecture for onboard decision-making across fault management, navigation, and execution.
• Lead perception stacks, sensor fusion, and space-domain awareness integration.
• Oversee verification via SIL/HIL campaigns and lifecycle management for flight-ready ML/AI models.
• Collaborate across GN&C, perception, and systems engineering to ensure coherent system interfaces.
