Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the building operations for a 500,000 square foot Class A office portfolio in Nashville. The role is on-site with an 8am-5pm schedule, Monday–Friday, and features a 2-person engineering team, plus responsibilities for preventive maintenance, budgeting, and capital improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in building operations or facilities
• Experience leading an engineering team
• Ability to develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver license and physical ability to perform tasks

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, coaching
• Create and update preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures
• Participate in client meetings and property team communications
• Lead engineering budget and participate in operating budget process
• Assist in capital improvement planning and project scheduling
• Direct contractors and monitor performance
• Respond to emergencies and service calls
• Lead safety and operations training programs
