Job summary

Root Edge seeks a Chief Engineer to own the technical direction of the entire data-center power and cooling product portfolio. You will lead the architecture from semiconductor choices to facility interconnections, unifying UPS, switchgear, and cooling into a single chip-to-grid system.

This executive role requires 15+ years in power electronics and proven multi-product roadmaps, with strong leadership across global teams and external standards bodies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in power electronics, critical power, or data center infrastructure product development.
• Track record leading multi-product technical roadmaps at an OEM (UPS, switchgear, power electronics, cooling).
• Senior engineering management experience with running teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the engineering direction for every product in the division, current generation through next-generation.
• Architect the end-to-end power and cooling system so products work as one integrated chip-to-grid offering.
• Lead feasibility studies on core technology bets (SiC vs Si IGBT) and DC architectures.
• Approve technical and design reviews, work packages, and product-level test plans.
• Mentor a senior engineering team and set design-practice standards.
• Represent the company in IEEE, IEC, UL, ASHRAE, and OCP groups.
• Own field issue resolution at senior technical level when escalations occur.
