Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wilsonville, Oregon seeks a Program Chief Engineer for Aircraft Vision Systems Hardware Development to lead a multidisciplinary team in a regulated avionics environment, driving schedules and technical direction.

You will manage program activities, track Earned Value, ensure CEH hardware DO-254/DO-160 compliance, coordinate with manufacturing for production readiness, and report status to the IPT and program leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with minimum 10 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• Experience with Earned Value based project management is required.
• Experience in CEH or Airborne Electronics Hardware development and DO-254/DO-160 compliance is required

Responsibilities

• Lead Chief Engineer responsibilities with emphasis on program and technical coordination.
• Lead system level specifications and requirements capture.
• Manage a multi-discipline engineering development team.
• Coordinate complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) DO-254, DO-160 certification planning and activities.
• Create, execute, and track program schedules.
• Oversee detailed designs including architecture, drawings, analysis, tests and reviews.
• Establish functional test and design verification strategies.
• Plan and track electrical and environmental qualification tests.
• Coordinate development of Support Test Equipment and production test requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to support New Product Introduction and early customer deliverables.
• Plan and track all engineering deliverables to the customer
