Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Advanced Technology Group within the Building Construction Products division in NC, Clayton.
The role drives technology development for safety, autonomy, and operator assist systems, coordinating with Customer Solutions teams to deliver near-term impact and longer-term strategies. Required are deep expertise in machine systems, embedded software, AI, and electrical platforms, plus strong leadership and collaboration across enterprise
Qualifications
- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.
- Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus.
- Experience delivering technical products and services from concept to customer.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of customer applications and problems across the BCP lineup.
- Leverage relationships with technology units and service providers to shape solutions.
- Provide technical leadership for onboard software and control systems, electrical platforms, and autonomy.
