Job summary

RTX is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead contract R&D programs in Advanced Electro-Optics, based onsite in McKinney, TX. This role will mature technology into viable products for warfighter applications and require strong systems engineering leadership across EO hardware and software domains.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, extensive EO system knowledge, and a current SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in EO system concepts, trade studies, and Design to Cost/Specification.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Engineering program execution and technical leadership for EO programs from concept to test.
• Facilitating communications between external customers, Raytheon leadership, and the engineering team.
• Staffing, EVMS, risk management, IPT coordination, subcontracts, and issue management.
• Maintaining the program technical baseline through documentation and reviews.
• Leading RFIs/RFPs responses and supporting technical roadmaps.
