Job summary

RTX in North Texas is seeking a Principal System Engineer – EO/IR Analyst to lead modeling and analysis of EO/IR sensor systems for warfighter applications. You will work with internal and external customers to deliver combat-ready solutions and coordinate a small team of analysts through deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field, 8+ years of relevant experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or related STEM Degree.
• Experience modeling EO/IR systems technologies.
• Experience modeling sensor phenomenology and target signatures.
• Ability to obtain additional clearances.
• Active and transferable U.S. Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Developing EO/IR system models.
• Defining and executing analysis studies including system analysis, trades, and operational effectiveness.
• Preparing and briefing analysis results to internal and external customers.
• Leading a small team of analysts through tasking and schedules.
• Overseeing and reviewing the delivery of each work product before delivering to customers.
