Job summary

OTO Development is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel maintenance team and ensure reliable operations across the property in Naples, Florida.

You will respond to guest requests, perform preventative maintenance, manage a QUORE CMMS workflow, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate with the General Manager. The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, strong leadership, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests promptly with quality service.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
• Lead a team of techs to complete tasks via QUORE CMMS.
• Execute tasks assigned by Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
• Conduct HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting work.
• Oversee third-party contractors.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Chief Engineer.

What will you be doing most days?

• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest service
• Perform preventative maintenance duties and procedures as needed
• Lead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasks as assigned by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (QUORE).
• Perform a variety of tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects
• Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors
• Respond to emergency situations promptly
• Always maintain a professional appearance
• Complete other duties as assigned

What are the requirements for this position?

• You have been currently working as a Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer for at least 2 years or at least 4-5 years of experience in a related field
• You are currently managing at least one subordinate
• You have proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties
• You have time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters
• You have a customer service focus and the ability anticipate guest needs

Physical Requirements For This Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

This position would require 10% travel.
