OTO Development is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician I to perform diverse maintenance tasks across the property. You will follow safety protocols, address HVAC, plumbing and electrical needs, and support guest comfort through timely, quality maintenance work.

The role requires teamwork, strong time management, and a customer-service mindset to meet guest expectations and uphold hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Must obtain/complete FSD Certification within 6–8 months
• Must complete company-sponsored Pool Operator class and pass exam
• 1 year as Building Maintenance Technician I or 1–2 years in related field
• General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures
• Able to work well with guests and team members
• Strong time management and ability to deliver quality work within guidelines
• Customer service oriented with ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
• Action-oriented with ability to achieve desired outcomes

Responsibilities

• Wear brand-standard uniform and PPE; follow safety and security guidelines
• Change HVAC filters and perform minor HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs
• Ensure fire life safety systems are functioning
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
• Inspect and clean rooms after work in accordance with standards
• Manage trash and keep common areas clean
• Ensure maintenance equipment is functional and maintained
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors and window trim as needed
• Maintain guest laundry facilities and common areas twice daily

Job description

We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician II.

What will you be doing most days?

• Wear provided brand-standard uniform, identification, required footwear, and protective equipment to prevent injury
• Adhere to all safety and security guidelines regarding equipment safety, guest safety, and safe chemical handling
• Change HVAC filters and preform minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Ensure fire life safety systems are functioning and operational
• Perform a wide variety of preventative maintenance duties
• Inspect and clean up in rooms after working in them and ensures they are in adherence with company standards
• Pick trash throughout the property
• Ensure all maintenance equipment is properly functioning and maintained
• Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance emergencies
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors and window trim as needed
• Ensure guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas are cleaned twice daily

What are the requirements for this position?

• You have FSD Certification or are capable of completing the company sponsored certification requirements within the first 6-8 months of employment
• You have the ability to take a company sponsored Pool Operator class and pass the accompanying exam
• You are currently working as a Building Maintenance Technician I for at least 1 year or have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a related field
• You possess a general knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures
• You can work well with others in a guest and team-focused environment
• You have strong time management capabilities and can accomplish quality, detailed work within established parameters
• You have customer service skills and are able anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, and respond to guest requests to ensure guest satisfaction
• You have an action orientation and can deliver the desired outcome

Physical Requirements For This Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

This position would require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area.
