Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Electrical Engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology unit. The role drives technical excellence, oversees staff, and coordinates across semiconductor, EV, battery and data center programs.

The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree with 13–19 years of experience in EPC settings, PE licensure, and deep expertise in power systems, CAD/CAE, and project controls. Willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• PE registration is required.
• Extensive EPC project experience is preferred.
• Proficient in 2-D/3-D CAD and CAE tools.
• Experience with ETAP and power system analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs day-to-day electrical engineering activity on medium to large projects.
• Supervises and reviews the work of electrical engineers.
• Provides technical input for procurement and bid evaluations.
• Prepares discipline estimates and work plans within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensures coordination with other disciplines and project requirements.
• Oversees training and development of electrical staff.
• Maintains progress reporting and project controls.
