Job summary
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Foundation seeks a President & Chief Development Officer to lead strategic fundraising, drive transformational campaigns, and maximize support for the Medical Center and affiliated entities.
The CDO reports to the Medical Center CEO and guides a diverse team of fundraisers, aligning philanthropy with the hospital's mission. Travel and stakeholder engagement are required as you cultivate top donors, collaborate with senior leaders, and
Qualifications
- 12–15 years in not-for-profit management at complex institutions
- Proven leadership in large-scale fundraising campaigns
- Ability to translate strategy into donor-focused programs
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising programs across donor constituencies
- Serve on senior leadership team and contribute to strategic planning
- Manage foundation staff, budget and operations and mentor team members
- Solicit major gifts and oversee a portfolio of top-tier prospects
- Communicate Foundation objectives to physicians, donors, volunteers and boards
- Engage Foundation Board and recruit volunteers to support fundraising priorities
- Hire, evaluate and develop Foundation staff per policy
