Job summary

West Virginia University’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute seeks an Executive Director of Development to lead major gifts and steer a comprehensive fundraising program. The role partners with WVU Medicine and Health Sciences to advance neuroscience initiatives, including focused ultrasound, memory and movement disorders, and brain injury recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive fundraising experience.
• Experience with neuroscience or medical programs in higher education fundraising is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead prospect relationship-building and solicit private philanthropic support for the RNI.
• Create and manage a portfolio of prospects and donors for solicitation by faculty leadership.
• Collaborate with WVU Foundation partners on annual, foundation, and donor relations activities.
• Develop and expand the grateful patient program and engage clinical partners.
