Job summary

Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, FL seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead all fundraising activities, including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and a multi-year capital campaign plan. The CDO will build strong donor partnerships and guide a fundraising team toward ambitious revenue goals.

The role reports to the President/CEO, collaborates with the Board, and drives annual strategies, events, and donor stewardship to sustain and expand the Museum’s mission and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, CFRE highly preferred.
• Proven success in managing fundraising teams and meeting funding goals.
• Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar donor portfolios.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and annual fundraising plans.
• Manage major gifts and capital campaign activities.
• Cultivate donors, write proposals, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with CEO, Board, and leadership to set priorities.
• Oversee donor stewardship, reporting, and CRM systems.
