STRIVE, a national workforce development organization, seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising and revenue growth. The role focuses on translating the organization’s multi-site expansion into actionable fundraising priorities, cultivating major philanthropies, and forging partnerships to sustain growth.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with disciplined execution, evidence-based revenue planning, and strong board engagement.

Qualifications

• Senior fundraising leadership experience.
• Ability to translate growth plans into revenue strategies across national and local markets.
• Proven track record securing transformational philanthropic investments and complex funding partnerships.
• Strong written and verbal communication for proposals, investment cases, and donor communications.

Responsibilities

• Translate STRIVE’s growth plan into national, regional, and site-level fundraising strategies, budgets, forecasts, and targets.
• Develop strategy to increase local fundraising and support site operations toward self-sustaining models.
• Coordinate diverse revenue sources and identify new opportunities for unrestricted and partnership funding.
• Lead major institutional funding efforts including foundation investments and growth capital proposals.
• Build and motivate a high-performing development team with clear accountability and metrics.
