Job summary

Unum seeks an accomplished leader to own the enterprise data platform strategy and governance for data, analytics, and GenAI initiatives. You will drive multi-year roadmaps, reference architectures, and cost-conscious cloud platforms, partnering with Legal, Compliance and IT leadership to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or mathematics.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics and technology.
• Proven expertise delivering GenAI and/or agentic AI in production in a regulated enterprise.
• Strong ability to communicate technical strategy to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year enterprise data platform strategy, including target-state lakehouse/warehouse architecture and migration roadmap.
• Establish and enforce reference architectures for ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving.
• Provide shared frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and reusable components for data engineering teams.
• Own the platforms for master and reference data management.
• Ensure data platform meets SLAs with security-by-design in partnership with InfoSec.
