Job summary

Unum is hiring an experienced Enterprise AI Architect to define and advance the organization’s AI architecture strategy. You will bridge enterprise architecture and execution, shaping AI design, governance, and deployment across the business.

You will lead governance forums, ensure alignment with business priorities, and mentor architects while driving secure, scalable AI platforms and patterns.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in enterprise architecture with AI/ML platform design.
• Deep knowledge of AI frameworks, cloud AI services (AWS).
• Experience with foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG architectures.
• Strong governance, risk and regulatory understanding.
• Agile/Lean delivery experience with modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise AI architecture strategy.
• Lead AI governance committees and contribute to standards.
• Ensure AI capabilities align with business outcomes.
• Design scalable, modular, secure AI solutions.
• Establish reference architectures and reusable patterns.
• Maintain AI platform roadmaps and tool selection.
• Mentor architects and tech leaders across the org.
• Partner with risk, legal, and compliance teams.
