Job summary

Havenridge Talent Advisory seeks a Vice President of Construction Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee all construction activities. This executive will ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality while aligning field operations with finance and leadership.

The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial GC experience, strong team-building skills, and a record of improving profitability and performance across multiple projects. Multifamily exposure is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience in commercial GC.
• Experience leading executive-level construction operations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of project financials, budgeting, and profitability.
• Experience with safety, scheduling, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all construction operations.
• Oversee project execution from pre-construction through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
• Establish and monitor standards, processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Lead and develop construction leadership, project management, field operations, and other teams.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and long-term growth strategies.
• Monitor project financial performance including budgets, costs, margins, and profitability.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective resource allocation across labor, equipment, and materials.
• Establish accountability for project performance through KPIs and reviews.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers.
• Oversee contract administration, change management, and closeout activities.
• Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction to ensure smooth execution transition.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and quality.
