Luxford Living is seeking a hands-on EVP of Construction to lead all physical construction, value-add renovations, and CapEx across its 25-property Sunbelt portfolio. The role demands strategic portfolio oversight combined with field-level execution for Class B–D garden-style multifamily communities.

You will direct budgeting, vendor selection, and quality assurance, collaborate with lenders, and ensure schedule adherence while traveling to properties across the Sunbelt.

Qualifications

• Experience leading CapEx on Class B/C/D garden-style multifamily portfolios.
• Proven value-add strategy execution and asset turnarounds.
• In-depth knowledge of building envelope systems, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Established Sunbelt vendor networks and GC management.
• Comfort with lender inspections, draws, and capital reserves.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Sunbelt properties.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, budgeting, scope creation, and execution for portfolio-wide capital projects.
• Oversee interior/exterior value-add renovations and complete rebuilds.
• Source and manage Sunbelt contractors and vendors.
• Serve as technical authority on major building systems upgrades.
• Oversee lender draws, escrow releases, and permit approvals.
• Perform site visits to ensure quality, milestones, and compliance.
