Job summary

Premera is seeking a senior compliance leader to set strategy and lead an enterprise‑wide program ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including third‑party services. The role focuses on transforming the compliance program to align with business priorities and risk, while maintaining strong regulator relationships and a culture of integrity.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 years in management or related regulatory fields; a JD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; JD preferred for regulatory leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare and government regulatory regimes with risk‑based thinking.
• Proven ability to influence executives and build cross‑functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and lead enterprise compliance.
• Design, develop, and implement an enterprise‑wide program to monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic direction to advance a modern, effective compliance program aligned to business priorities.
• Oversee regulatory relationships and inquiries, including third parties.
• Promote a culture of integrity and ensure compliance across the organization and vendors.
• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, enforcement priorities, and industry risks.
• Monitor external trends and advise leadership on mitigation strategies.
• Lead enterprise communication and training programs on ethics and compliance.
• Advise executives and manage complex, sensitive matters.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, HR, and others on sensitive reviews and investigations.
• Oversee investigations and track corrective actions with executive reporting.
• Lead and grow a high‑performing compliance team.
