ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc. seeks a strategic Head of Compliance & Compliance Counsel to lead the enterprise-wide compliance and ethics program across North America.

You will provide legal counsel on compliance matters and partner with executive leadership to foster integrity, risk awareness, and responsible business practices. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of legal, compliance, regulatory, governance, privacy, or risk management roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing compliance programs or related teams.
• Strong knowledge of anti-corruption regulations, antitrust and competition laws, trade compliance and sanctions, corporate governance, data privacy, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience advising senior executives on complex legal and regulatory matters.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Experience supporting multi-state operations across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the company's compliance and ethics program including core topics across North America in alignment with global standards.
• Provide legal and strategic counsel on compliance matters to the business in North America.
• Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, accountability, and compliance through leadership, training, and engagement initiatives.
• Support enterprise risk management, third-party due diligence, contracting activities, and strategic business initiatives.
• Oversee investigations, audits, regulatory inquiries, and remediation activities to ensure effective risk management.
• Partner with leaders to establish controls for management and protection of information.
• Monitor emerging laws and advise leadership on business impacts and obligations.
• Lead the data privacy program including governance, risk assessments, data protection, and cross-border transfers.
• Oversee whistleblower programs and ensure investigations are objective with corrective actions.
• Establish monitoring, auditing, and reporting processes with dashboards and metrics.
